Final accounts drag on when the record is incomplete and the variations were never priced. We keep accounts current through the build so completion is a formality, and we take on accounts that have stalled and need agreeing.

Frequently asked questions
Why do final accounts take so long?
Usually because variations were instructed verbally, never priced and left to the end, when memories and records have faded. Keeping the account live during the build removes the problem.
Can you agree a final account that has been stuck for months?
Yes. We re-measure from the drawings and instructions, build a documented account and negotiate it to a close with the other party.
Do you act for contractors as well as clients?
Yes. We prepare and negotiate final accounts for main contractors and subcontractors, and reconcile subcontract accounts on their behalf.
What is account reconciliation?
Checking that what has been valued, ordered, invoiced and paid all agree, and resolving the differences. On a multi-package job it is how you find out whether the project actually made its margin.
